WOMEN OF FIRE INC. DONATES SUPPLIES TO LOCAL ORPHANGES
On July 26, 2011 the Women of F.I.R.E. donated 10 bags of rice and flour to Susie Guenther Orphanage and also gave 10 bags of rice/flour to Love a Child Orphanage. We hosted party with 35 kids, divided T-shirts, cooked potato greens, etc... a great time was had by all, the kids were amazing.
WOMEN OF FIRE INC. DONATES AGRICULTURAL SUPPLIES TO GRAND BASSA ORGANIZATION
Buchanan, Grand Bassa County. March 11,2011 – WOF donated several agricultural items and bags of rice to The Community Initiative Empowerment for Transparency, a local grass-roots organization in Grand Bassa County, with the aim of helping them to become self-sufficient.
Items donated included wheelbarrows, cutlasses, shovels, several bags of rice and other agricultural supplies valued at over two thousand United States Dollars. WOF became aware of the organization late last year and felt moved to contribute to their plight. “We think it is important for us as Liberians to empower our fellow Liberians and in doing so, help them to become self-sufficient so they can in turn not only help themselves, but others as well’, stated their representative. The items were presented on behalf of the Women of Fire, by Ms. Ethel V. Knuckles, a founding and board member of the Women of Fire, an Atlanta-based organization which has been in existence since 2002.
The Community Initiative Empowerment for Transparency, a Buchanan-based organization contacted the Women of Fire requesting agricultural supplies to help with their ongoing farming project. The agricultural organization consists of over 25 farmers and they currently are growing pepper. cabbage, cassava, and other vegetables. The crops are for sale at local Buchanan markets and serves as a means for these farmers to support their families.

Big Sister Small Sister Mentorship Program
The Big Sister, small sister organization helps its
members grow culturally, socially, educationally, and spiritually. Projects vary according to the organization’s
interests and the needs of the community.
A project may be of service to an individual, group and/or the community
and develop member skills at the same time.This program is comprised of young ladies between the ages of 16 and 22. Big
sister, small sister sponsors projects according to the interest and needs of
their various communities. These programs will develop the member's special
skills.

The mission of the Big Sister Small Sister organization is to provide a carefully designed program of activities that will enhance members through mind, body, and spirit as they work within their various communities to help others.

Develop an awareness of the need to share responsibilities and to understand one another in order to achieve a common goal

WOF co-sponsored a community project in April and May 2007 with
the BlueLinks Morning Show & Lone Star Cell to feed the handicapped and
homeless at Sports Commission. Women of Fire donated 600 cups of rice to this
worthy cause.
WOF donated mattresses to an orphanage facility that houses 37 boys & girls. This donation ensures every orphan will have a bed to sleep on.
WOF sent a Shipment of Supplies to the Susie Guenter Orphanage near Coopers Beach in Monrovia, Liberia. Combined facility: The School houses Nursery-12th grade, an Orphanage & a Clinic. Enrollment: 113 children, Ages currently 6-14. Director Jefferson Zeon welcomes Women of FIRE Vice-Chair Hawa-Ellen Knuckles as she visits the children at the orphanage.
